Cusco has some huge mountains on offer to hike, not forgetting the largest mountain on offer being Salcantay. A mountain not for the faint-hearted, however, if hiked you can expect rewarding views. The peak of Salcantay sits at 6,279 m and from base camp, it takes around 9 hours to reach the summit. If you don’t quite fancy a hike to the summit, there are an array of beautiful scenery hikes around the area of Salcantay.
